She coordinates the implementation of the actions foreseen in the strategy on scaling up innovation and investment, supporting lead markets, enhancing circularity\/<\/span>s<\/span>ustainability<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>and promoting global action. The unit also promotes sustainable materials through the implementation of the Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation, the Single-use plastics\u00a0<\/span>Di<\/span>rective<\/span>\u00a0a<\/span>nd the Microplastics Pellets Regulation.<\/span><\/span> She supports a strong stakeholders\u2019 involvement through the\u00a0<\/span>Circular economy platform. Jen is a Director of Sustainable Procurement at AstraZeneca where she has responsibility for managing the Scope 3 supply chain\u00a0<\/span>decarbonisation<\/span>\u00a0strategy\u00a0<\/span>in order to<\/span>\u00a0support their 2045 Net Zero goal. Jen is driving AZ\u2019s key suppliers and partners to set science-based targets and deliver\u00a0<\/span>decarbonisation<\/span>, and is supporting the procurement function to\u00a0<\/span>facilitate<\/span>\u00a0effective outcomes-based conversations with those suppliers in relation to all AstraZeneca\u2019s sustainability expectations<\/span>.\u00a0<\/span>Prior to taking this role in 2023, Jen\u2019s career was focused on pharmaceutical R&D procurement which she began in 2007 in a mid-sized pharmaceutical research company, before moving to AstraZeneca in 2015.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n\n <\/sc-rich-text>\n \n LinkedIn\n <\/sc-button>\n <\/div>\n\n <\/sc-asymmetrical-columns>\n\n \n \n\n \n\n \n
